Bohemian Garden Open House at The Gardens of Bammel Lane

A recap of a lovely Open House at one of Houston’s prettiest venues- The Gardens of Bammel Lane!

Last week I had the honor of providing furniture and decor for the “Boho-eclectic-garden-chic” themed Open House at the Gardens of Bammel Lane. If you have not been to this venue before, it feels like a secret garden because it’s tucked away in the middle of River Oaks. This English Conservatory makes for a magical and romantic backdrop and is definitely one of my favorite wedding venues in Houston.

The lovely and talented ladies of Two Be Wed planned this Open House and came up with the theme, color palate, invited all the vendors who participated and designed a beautiful tablescape to fit the “bohemian” vibe.

Here are some photos of how I interpreted the theme with the styling of my furniture and accessories:

I loved dressing up my cream Rococo sofa with the bright colored pillows and they tied in very nicely with the rug! :)

I really enjoyed styling these shelves! My favorite part might be the ombre tassel garland that I made.

The flower arrangements in my vessels were done by Carol of Something Special in Flowers! Aren’t they gorgeous?!

Overall, it was a wonderful evening and I was very proud to be a part of an event with so many talented vendors! I highly recommend this venue and all of the vendors involved for your upcoming nuptials!

Cheers,

Ashley

Exciting press features to share!

Hello everyone! It’s been such a LONG time since I’ve posted on the blog! But better late than never right?!

I haven’t had the chance to officially announce some very exciting press featuring my work. Since late last year, I’ve been honored to be featured in three magazines!

1. The Knot Texas Spring/Summer 2014 Issue

From left to right: Cover of Fall/Winter 2013 issue; 1st page of article “A Bookish Bash”; 2nd page of article. Photos in article by Dandy As Lions Photography.

The above article provided a recap from The Knot Market Mixer event that took place in Houston last August. As you may remember from my personal recap last September, (see original post here), I was honored to provide four different vignettes at the historic Julia Ideson Library in Downtown Houston. On the first page of the article, one of my three lounge areas is pictured along with my sweetheart table created with one of my vintage desks. The next page of the article shows a close up of some of my accessories that adorned a steamer trunk in a lounge area, along with my sweetheart table place settings that I created from book pages.

2.  Texas Weddings Magazine 2014 Issue

From left to right: Cover of Winter 2014 Issue; 1st page of “Something Vintage” article; 2nd page of article

I was thrilled to be featured in Brittney Moore’s article called “Something Vintage.” She highlighted my company, along with a few other vintage rental companies in the Houston area. Here is a summary of my work that was featured: Upper left corner on 1st page of article- my 1950 Dodge Pearl Pickup as a beverage station from my clients’ wedding in Waco (photo by Nancy Aidee Photography);  Lower left corner on 1st page of article- my husband and I sitting on my pink settee at our wedding (photo by Leila Brewster photography); Upper left corner on 2nd page of article- my farm tables used as the head table at my own wedding  (photo by Leila Brewster Photography); Upper right corner on 2nd page of article- my chandeliers, silver trays, vases, candle holders at my client’s wedding (photo by Blanc Noir Film).

3. VIP Magazine of Southeast Texas (Beaumont); January 2014 Issue

My talented friend Tamara Menges of Tamara Menges Designs asked me to be a part of a styled shoot with an “Urban Garden” theme. The gorgeous model and flowers from that shoot is featured on the cover. Inside there are more lovely images by Sarah Evans Photography. I provided the metal tub chairs, Mr. & Mrs. Signs, tea cart for the dessert display and the goblets on the table.

I’m extremely proud and humbled by the press B&B has received lately and I can’t thank everyone that I’ve worked with enough!

Warmly,

Ashley

Amanda & Brandon’s 1-year anniversary shoot!

Once your wedding day is over, it can tend to feel like all the ‘big stuff’ is also over with. But it’s really just the beginning. So today’s post is dedicated to one of the beautiful ways we can commemorate marriage after the wedding: an anniversary photo shoot. Recently, I had the pleasure of styling Amanda and Brandon’s 1-year anniversary shoot at the Kleb Woods Nature Preserve in Houston. They wanted to have a holiday theme and Amanda’s parents were also included. Take a gander at these delightful photos taken by Terilyn & Koby Brown of Archetype Studio Inc.

Happy Anniversary Amanda & Brandon!

Amy & Jonathan- Engagement Session by Archetype Studio Inc.

A darling engagement session with props like croquet, a rope swing and balloons!

I thought a game of croquet would be perfect for this venue, and I’m glad I was right! Croquet and Bocce Ball Sets are now available for rent! 🙂

Recently I had the pleasure of styling Amy & Jonathan’s engagement session thanks to my friends Terilyn & Koby Brown of Archetype Studio Inc. I will literally jump at the opportunity to work with this uber-talented duo any chance I get, so I already knew this was going to be a fantastic session based on the fact that it was going to be shot by them. But what made it even better was the fact that Amy & Jonathan were very stylish, fun and open to different prop ideas. Additionally, The Antique Rose Emporiumprovided a dreamy backdrop. Swoon!

I tied ribbons to each side of the rope swing for some extra pops of color. 🙂

This couple is so dapper! I especially love Amy’s Kate Spade dress, shoes and accessories 🙂

Congratulations to Amy & Jonathan! Thank you for giving me the privilege to style your engagement shoot!

Cheers,

Ashley
